Wipro Ventures Expands Horizon with $200 Million Investment in Startups
Wipro has invested $200 million in its venture arm, Wipro Ventures, which is its fourth funding round since the arm’s establishment in 2015. This new investment is to step up backing of early to mid-stage startups, specifically those in artificial intelligence, data analytics, cybersecurity and cloud infrastructure.
Wipro Ventures has already invested in 37 startups, adding solutions for more than 250 Wipro clients worldwide and having a successful 12 exits. The program also involves investments in venture funds focused on enterprise and cybersecurity in India, US and Israel. The organization is especially committed to driving innovation in emerging technologies and building an ecosystem that inspires growth and sustainable value for all stakeholders.
CEO and MD Srini Pallia underscored the investment as validating Wipro’s intent to facilitate the growth of startups and partnering with the IT services sector in order to co-create differentiated value for large clients.
The $200 million investment is made at a time when funding in India’s startup ecosystem has been unreliable, with a clear decline in 2025 over the last year. Nevertheless, Wipro’s move demonstrates its firm intent to fuel tech innovation and expand its international network of startups. They are committed to nurturing the next frontier of technological advancement.
