UAE Stand With Humanity in International Humanitarian Conference for Sudan
The International Humanitarian Conference for Sudan, co-organized by France, Germany, and the European Union, brought together several countries and international organizations with the common goal of advancing peace initiatives in Sudan. During the conference, HE Sheikh Shakhboot bin Nahyan reaffirmed the UAE’s dedication to supporting international endeavors aimed at achieving a permanent ceasefire and finding a peaceful solution to the crisis.

He Sheikh Shakhboot bin Nahyan highlighted the significance of global cooperation in addressing the situation in Sudan and facilitating the uninterrupted distribution of humanitarian assistance. He praised the UAE for its significant contributions in providing relief aid, which included medical supplies, food, and relief supplies, reaching to a total of USD 150 million. In addition, the UAE has set up a comprehensive field hospital in Abéché city, Republic of Chad, with a cost of USD 20 million, to provide help to Sudanese refugees.
The UAE reiterated its call for an immediate and permanent ceasefire in Sudan and emphasized the need to return to the political process to achieve a peaceful solution. HE Sheikh Shakhboot bin Nahyan underscored the importance of joint efforts and collaboration to enhance security and stability in Sudan, meeting the aspirations of the Sudanese people for development and prosperity.
