Pakistan gets Mohamed bin Zayed Institute of Cardiology
General Qamar Javed Bajwa, the chief of the military in Pakistan, officially opened the Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan Institute of Cardiology on Thursday. the power is located in Quetta, the capital of Balochistan.
The building spread over 121,406 square metres cost $27.30 million to create and was paid for by the Abu Dhabi Fund for Development.
The action is administered in accordance with the instructions of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and with the backing and oversight of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Presidential Court His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
The project is administered as part of the ongoing assistance provided by the UAE leadership to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan for the implementation of development and humanitarian projects.
Mir Jan Jamali, the governor of Balochistan, Hamad Obaid Al Zaabi, the UAE ambassador to Pakistan, Abdullah Khalifa Al Ghafli, the director of the UAE Pakistan Assistance Programme (UAE PAP), also as prominent civil and military officials attended the inauguration ceremony.
The opening ceremony started with a presentation of the Emirati humanitarian development projects that had been administered in the Balochistan region over the previous three years through the UAE Pakistan Assistance Programme, also as a briefing on the project’s stages.
The commemorative plaque was then unveiled to mark the official opening of the Mohamed bin Zayed Institute of Cardiology by general officer Qamar Javed Bajwa, who was joined by Ambassador Al Zaabi and Abdullah Al Ghafli. They prayed to the Almighty Allah for Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed’s healthiness , blessing, success, wellness, and longevity, and that they also wished the UAE continued progress, wellbeing, prosperity, security, and stability.
Later, the visitors got a tour of the hospital’s wards, which feature the foremost modern equipment and a cutting-edge cardiology facility.
The UAE PAP Director spoke at the event and emphasised the importance of the initiatives of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan also as the kind assistance and continued support.

Around 12 million Pakistanis living within the province of Balochistan will benefit from the institute. Around 70,900 people have heart condition , and quite 1,064 of them pass on each year from lack of care.
With a medical staff of 136 doctors and specialists, 350 nurses, and technicians, the institute has the power to absorb more than 500 patients per day and 182,000 patients annually while providing diagnostic and treatment services.
There are 17 structures making up the institute. most building houses 120-bed inpatient suites, specialised clinics, emergency rooms, dental offices, cardiac catheterization rooms, medical care units, and outpatient departments. Moreover, eight specialised medical laboratories, a pharmacy, and an 18-bed dialysis department also exist.
The institute also features a biomedical department that uses contemporary technology to conduct clinical research and academic studies on cases of cardiovascular disease.
In addition to a mosque, an office for the administration of the institute, a club for doctors and employees, an energy management station, centres for collecting medical and unsafe waste, a helipad for ambulance planes, a fireplace station, control towers, gardens, a market, and parking lots, it also has independent administrative and repair buildings.
The UAE PAP Director was presented with the Hilal-i-Pakistan, or Crescent of Pakistan, during the opening ceremony. Pakistani President Arif Alvi had given him this honour in appreciation for his work managing and completing development and humanitarian projects in Pakistan.
The patients sincerely thanked and appreciated President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed for giving them access to the present renowned speciality hospital.
The institute’s consultants, medical staff, nursing staff, and technical and administrative staff each expressed their sincere gratitude to His Highness Sheikh Mohamed for completing this enormous project for the Pakistani people.
