The HBO official synopsis is as follows: “The deal to sell tech visionary Lukas Matsson (Alexander Skarsgrd) the media conglomerate Waystar Royco is getting closer. As they contemplate what their life would be like when this seismic sale is completed, the Roy family goes through existential struggle and interpersonal conflict. As the family considers a future in which their influence in culture and politics will be drastically reduced, a power struggle emerges.
