UAE appointed the 1st AI minister in the world in 2017. In the age of 27, Omar bin Sultan al-Olama became 1st AI minister of UAE in the world. He accepts the challenge to turn the UAE into a powerhouse of AI by 2031.
In a speech last September 2023, the CEO of OpenAI Sam Altman said the UAE “has been talking about AI since before it was cool.”
