The UAE President comes in Pakistan and is received by Prime Minister Sharif

During the course of his trip to Pakistan, the President of the United Arab Emirates, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, arrived today in the city of Rahim Yar Khan.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the long-standing ties that have existed between the UAE and Pakistan, as well as the opportunities for enhancing joint cooperation in such a way that it serves the mutual benefit of the two countries and their peoples across a variety of domains. This discussion took place within the context of the strategic partnership that exists between the UAE and Pakistan.

Sheikh Mohammed’s trip to Pakistan was warmly received by Pakistan’s Prime Minister, Nawaz Sharif, who emphasized that the trip was a significant step toward strengthening the ties that bind the two countries together.

The two sides talked about numerous avenues of collaboration, particularly in the areas of the economy, commerce, and development, all of which are in keeping with the long-term goals of both nations’ sustainable development initiatives.

In addition to this, they addressed a number of topics that were of mutual interest to both parties and exchanged perspectives on a variety of domestic and international concerns that both parties were concerned about.

Strong Bilateral Relations

Prime Minister Sharif, on his part, expressed his gratitude to the UAE for its ongoing assistance of Pakistan in a variety of conditions, particularly in the development areas. He also underlined Pakistan’s pride in the historically significant links that exist between the UAE and Pakistan.

Participants at the meeting included Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Member of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council; Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan; Sheikh Sultan bin Hamdan Al Nahyan, Adviser to the President of the United Arab Emirates; Ali Mohammed Hammad Al Shamsi, Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for National Security; and Hamad Obaid Ibrahim Salem Al Zaabi, United Arab Emirates Ambassador to Pakistan.

Marriyum Aurangzeb, the Minister for Information and Broadcasting of Pakistan, Tariq Fatemi, the Special Assistant on Foreign Affairs to the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi, the Interim Chief Minister of Punjab, and a number of officials were present to represent the Pakistani side at the event.
