Kevin Spacey to be charged with sexual assault
The Crown Prosecution Service has confirmed that Actor Kevin Spacey is set to be charged with sexual assault against three men.
Spacey, a two-time Oscar winner, is known for starring in films such as Seven, American Beauty, LA Confidential, and Baby Driver. He has also starred in the Netflix series House of Cards.
The actor was also the director of the Old Vic between 2004 and 2015.
Five charges have been brought against the 62-year-old actor after a review of Met Police evidence following complaints between 2005 and 2013.
Three complaints are related to sexual abuse, which is said to have taken place in London, and one in Gloucestershire.
He also faces a serious sexual offense charge in London.
The first two charges are linked to an alleged sexual assault on a man in London in March 2005. The alleged victim is now in his 40s. Meanwhile, the second alleged victim, now in his 30s, is said to have been assaulted in August 2008 in London.
The serious sexual offense charge – causing a person to take part in penetrative sexual activity without consent – is also linked to the second alleged victim.

The third complainant related to an assault on a man who is now in his 30s in Gloucestershire in April 2013.
While the CPS has authorized the charges against Spacey, it is understood that he has not been formally charged as he isn’t in the country.
Head of the CPS Special Crime Division, Rosemary Ainslie, said that following the review of the evidence the CPS had “authorised criminal charges against Kevin Spacey, 62, for four counts of sexual assault against three men”. She added: “The Crown Prosecution Service reminds all concerned that criminal proceedings against Mr Spacey are active and that he has the right to a fair trial.”
