Iran’s Ebrahim Raisi officially invites UAE president to visit Tehran
Iran’s President Ebrahim Raisi has invited his Emirati counterpart, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, to visit Tehran. A letter of invitation was delivered to Minister of State Khalifa Al Marar during a Wednesday meeting at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Abu Dhabi, WAM reported.
The letter was delivered by Reza Amiri, Iran’s ambassador to the UAE.
In June, as part of efforts to enhance ties between the countries, the UAE president held discussions with Hossein Amirabdollahian, Iran’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, in Abu Dhabi. The importance of “building on positive developments” to support the region was part of the talks.

Amirabdollahian, who was on a working visit to the UAE at the time, called for continued prosperity and progress in the country.
Just a few months earlier, the Emirati leader met one of Iran’s top security officials in Abu Dhabi, with their discussions covering regional and international issues of mutual interest. Sheikh Mohamed held talks with Ali Shamkhani, secretary of the Supreme National Security Council.
The importance of working to support peace in the region was also part of the discussions.
The high-profile meeting also had Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Presidential Court, and Sheikh Tahnoun bin Zayed, National Security Adviser and Deputy Ruler of Abu Dhabi, among the attendees.
