Illegal Immigrant Linked to MS-13 Stabs Teen at Indiana Game, Arrested

A 26-year-old illegal immigrant with ties to the notorious MS-13 gang has been arrested and charged after allegedly stabbing a 13-year-old girl at her brother’s baseball game in Lowell, Indiana. The incident, which took place during Labor Day weekend, has shocked the local community.
On Saturday afternoon at a baseball field near a VFW hall in Lowell the Lake County Sheriff’s Department reported that Dimas Gabriel Yanes attacked the young girl with a butcher-style knife. Witnesses, including the baseball coach, Matthew Ramian, described the terrifying scene where Yanes “just jumped on her and pushed her over,” then began swinging a large knife at her. The girl’s mother bravely intervened, preventing further harm, and the girl was rushed to the hospital for treatment.
Several parents chased Yanes but he initially escaped into a nearby wooded area. After a public plea for help, the sheriff’s department apprehended Yanes, who was reportedly trying to alter his appearance by cutting his hair before his arrest.
Yanes was deported to Honduras in 2018 reentered the United States illegally and has since committed crimes across five states, including New York, Illinois, Georgia, Ohio, and Indiana. In his criminal history, there are cases of battery, trespassing, intoxication, and attempted burglary.
The incident has raised concerns about the safety of public spaces and the risks of dangerous criminals. The community is demanding stricter enforcement of immigration laws.
