7 Killed, 13 Injured in Russian Attacks on Dnipro
Russian forces continue to pound Ukraine even on its Independence Day, killing seven people and wounding at least13 others in Dnipro.
Serhiy Lysak said Ukrainian air defenses downed one Russian missile. But other strikes destroyed a transport facility and damaged buildings, including a bank, a hotel and two residential buildings. Lysak said three victims in Dnipro were hospitalized with moderate injuries. He posted photos on Telegram, showing a partially destroyed building with people clearing out broken glass and a twisted metal structure. Two other people were injured, as per Ukraine’s general prosecutor’s office, when one of the shells struck the roof of a private house.
Dnipro was also hit last month when Moscow accused Kyiv of firing two missiles at southern Russia. The night-time attack hit the security service of Ukraine’s building.

With Ukraine empowered with more weapons and artillery, Russian-Ukraine war has escalated further. Calls are growing louder about Russia’s continued provoked attack on Ukraine. Despite the ongoing conflict, Ukrainian forces in the southern Zaporizhzhia region raised the national flag. The brigade said it’s a historic day. “Soldiers of the 47th Separate Mechanized Brigade set up the flag of Ukraine in the village of Robotyne. A blue and yellow flag signed by the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was raised on the school destroyed by the Russian invaders on the National Flag Day.”
Meanwhile, Ukrainians marked the 32nd anniversary of their independence. President Volodymyr Zelensky said the independence of Ukraine is a value for each and every one. “And this is what we are fighting for. And everyone is important in this fight. Because this is a fight for something that is important to everyone. And independent Ukraine.”
