The stage is set for the ICC ODI World Cup 2025 to commence from 30 September in five cities across India and Sri Lanka booked for hosting. The opener will be played between India and Sri Lanka in Bengaluru followed by the reigning ODI World Cup champions Australia facing the current T20 World Champions, New Zealand on 1 October in Indore.
The complete fixture including the date, venue and possible changes post the league stages are out. ICC confirmed the schedule on Monday with the eight team tournament will lead to an epic win of the next World Cup Champion. The venues are shared between Bengaluru, Vizag, Guwahati, Indore and Colombo.
The tournament is a single round-robin with the first four teams furthering into the semi – final games that are planned to be held in Bengaluru, unless if Pakistan qualifies for the trophy then the semi final and final is set to happen in Colombo.
