Venus Aerospace Unveils Hypersonic Jet to Fly from London to New York in One Hour
A Texas-based startup Venus Aerospace has announced the development of a hypersonic jet that make possible to travel from London to New York in just one hour. Thanks to their groundbreaking Venus Detonation Ramjet 2000lb Thrust Engine. This innovative technology promises speeds of up to 3,600mph, six times faster than the speed of sound.
The co-founders Andrew and Sassie Duggleby started this journey in 2020 with the ambition of revolutionizing air travel after being frustrated with long-haul flights. The test flight for the hypersonic jet developed in collaboration with aerospace company Velontra, is set for 2025. The jet will operate at altitudes higher than traditional aircraft, providing passengers with stunning views of the Earth and the blackness of space.
According to Express UK the technology can be active by 2030 and it will transform air travel and also other industries like defense and logistics. Venus Aerospace’s Stargazer M400, the first hypersonic, reusable aircraft, is expected to produce half the carbon emissions of conventional flights while covering 5,000 miles in record time
This marks a huge leap forward in aviation reminiscent of the Concorde’s supersonic legacy but promising to be even faster and more efficient.
