Government announced an add-on celebration pacakage for residence – With exciting discounts, fireworks displays and freebies planned for the public holiday, authorities also have announced free parking in three emirates. Culmination at Expo City Dubai: COP28 and National Day Unite
While the world’s attention is on Dubai for the UN climate summit, COP28, the official celebratory ceremony is set to dazzle at Expo City Dubai – the COP28 venue. The festivities kick off with lively carnivals winding along waterfronts, featuring colorful floats and sand sculptures. The day crescendos with breathtaking fireworks illuminating the night sky across the Emirates.
Dubai’s Unique Offerings: Sustainability Takes Center Stage
Dubai, synonymous with grandeur, has curated exciting events for the UAE National Day. The official ceremony at Jubilee Park, Expo City, Dubai, will be live-streamed on December 2, with public access from December 5. The 30-minute show, held every night until December 12, aligns with COP28 and the Year of Sustainability. Highlighting the UAE’s sustainability journey, the show weaves elements of Sadu, traditional Emirati weaving, symbolizing the nation’s progress since its union in 1971.
On December 2, there will be a live broadcast that locals can watch on all local TV channels and on the official website, www.UnionDay.ae.
Special Events Across Destinations
Numerous destinations offer special events to mark the occasion. Dubai Harbour treats visitors to free ice cream, symbolizing the colors of the UAE flag. Riverland in Dubai Parks and Resorts hosts a free laser show, and malls feature live shows, cultural displays, and roaming entertainment.
Abu Dhabi’s Spectacular Celebrations of National Day:
Abu Dhabi’s Yas Marina Circuit promises excitement with a firework display, live music, car racing, and a funfair for kids. Exclusive packages at iconic locations like the Burj Al Arab and Jumeirah at Saadiyat Island Resort provide front-row seats to the festivities.
On Union Day, Sheikh Zayed Festival in Abu Dhabi is the place to be, offering guests an immersive look at Emirati history and culture.
