UAE Delivers 53rd Airdrop to Gaza as US Security Council Commends Humanitarian Efforts
To support Palestinian families in Gaza stripe the United Arab Emirates has successfully conducted its 53rd airdrop as part of the ongoing “Birds of Goodness” humanitarian mission.
The UAE Ministry of Defense coordinated for the airdrop and during this 53rd term of airdrop the gulf nation delivered 80 tonnes of food and relief aids to families living in isolated areas of Gaza strip.
According to the data the total aid delivered through the “Birds of Goodness” mission is 3,623 tons. The big amount is demonstrating the commitment of UAE to save humanity in the globe by helping the Palestinians in time of crisis.
In the aid supplies includes basic food items and essential relief materials like food, medicines etc. The aim is to improve the living conditions in bad humanitarian challenges in Gaza.
The Emirates News Agency- WAM highlighted the importance of the operation. They said that the UAE is continuously supporting the Palestinians, this reflects the values of the UAE. They are protecting human values across the borders..
Since the launch of the “Birds of Goodness” operation the gulf nation UAE has been at the forefront of delivering life-saving aid to the people of Gaza. This initiative is one of many efforts by the UAE to ensure that essential supplies reach the most vulnerable communities.

US Security Council Commends UAE’s Humanitarian Aid to Gaza
While the appericiation going on the steps by UAE to help and support aids for innocent citizens living in Gaza, USA also commended UAE’s move. A tweet came from Official account of the White House National Security Council Spokesperson, Sean Savett. He said, “The United States is working to surge humanitarian assistance into Gaza. We welcome the airdrop today by UAE of food parcels into central Gaza.”
This is not the first time when UAE has come forward with helping hand with aid for Palestinian people. Here are some of the rememberable efforts done by UAE in past:
UAE’s Ongoing Commitment to Palestine:
– The UAE delivered a shipment of 252 tonnes of humanitarian aid supplies to Gaza, in cooperation with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and other international partners. The aid arrived via sea route from Cyprus and was unloaded at UN warehouses in Deir al-Balah, Gaza.
– This aid delivery is part of the UAE’s continued efforts to provide relief and address the humanitarian crisis in Gaza. So far, the UAE has delivered over 32,000 tonnes of aid to Gaza through 260 flights, 49 airdrops and 1,243 trucks, under the directive of UAE leadership to support the Palestinian people.
– According to the official news agency WAM, UAE distributed 70 tons of relief aid and tents to hundreds of displaced Palestinian families in the Gaza Strip. The aid included setting up dozens of shelter tents for families forced to leave their homes due to the ongoing situation and continuous displacement in Gaza.
– Food parcels were also distributed to displaced Palestinian families living in shelter camps to alleviate daily suffering and provide urgent food and basic necessities, as Gaza faces food shortages and high market prices. This aid distribution was part of the UAE’s “Chivalrous Knight 3 Operation” launched in November 2024 to support Palestinians in Gaza.
– The UAE has delivered almost 50,000 tonnes of essential supplies to Gaza since November 2024. This was revealed by the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs and shows the large scale of aid provided by the UAE to the besieged enclave.
– The supplies delivered included food, relief items and medical aids. This humanitarian aid from the UAE aims to help address urgent needs and alleviate difficult conditions faced by Palestinian residents of Gaza, who have limited access to resources due to blockade.
– The UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al-Nahyan has allocated $20 million in humanitarian aid to Palestinians. This aid will be sent through the UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA).
