The newly confirmed FBI Director Kash Patel has led ATF temporarily since President Donald Trump selected him. One federal agency gets stronger control of all law enforcement functions under the direction of Kash Patel.
Despite Democratic and Republican opposition Patel leads the FBI and gun law enforcement as its head because he supported Trump administration victims. The ATF leadership problems forced Bondi to lose her position because she intended to switch federal gun specialists with immigration specialists.
The Trump administration puts officials in charge of working in different departments while keeping their previous positions. Under Marco Rubio’s leadership Secretary of State worked temporarily at USAID as administration Director. Russ Vought supervised both the CFPB and Interior Secretary Doug Burgum and Energy Secretary Chris Wright took joint charge of the National Energy Dominance Council.
