Kamala Harris Shatters Records with $1 Billion Fundraising Quarter
Kamala Harris at present has collected $1 billion for her presidential campaign and three weeks before the end of the 2024 quarter will beat this record. According to the reports this achievement alone is way bigger compared to the former President Donald Trump previous actions of her opponent. This rose to September where Harris and all her related campaign committees had $359 million, which is double what Trump had at $160 million. These differences in the results of fundraising could quite literally make the difference between winning and losing an election.
Harris’s fundraising means that her campaign and associated organizations began October with $346 million, although Trump’s team says it has $283 million. PAC of the Democratic nominee cumulatively raises about $222m in September, while Trump raised slightly over $63m in total. This massive cash on hand from fundraising has helped Harris to fight spend Trump by 3.5 to 1, especially in adverts.
It was also ascertained that 84% of the spending for both the campaigns was accosted on media and production. Harris’s campaign that had more than triple the funds of Trump’s spent $222M of $270M on advertising in September, while Trump spent $53M of $78M.
Super PACs and Dark Money Boost Fundraising Efforts
The independent expenditure committee known as Future Forward organized by Harris has established itself as an essential part of the fundraising effort. The group has placed about $125 million in ads in just two weeks and is funded by Democratic billionaires. However, approximately 40% of the super PAC’s funding was through an unknown funder.
Trump has been able to raise more cash through his super PAC known as MAGA Inc which was recently donated $25 million by Timothy Mellon to take the total amount he has contributed in this cycle to $150 million. The group started October with $59 million cash on hand, far less than Harris’s backers, which underlined the Trump campaign’s continuing struggle to finance its activities.
