Dubai – The Dubai Expo 2020 is round the corner and India is wishing them all the best. India’s Minister of Commerce and Industry, Piyush Goyal has especially wished for their success and communicated the same to Dr. Thani Bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, the UAE’s Minister of State for Foreign Trade.

This was specially communicated to him at a joint media appearance marking the launch of bilateral negotiations on a Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA).

Dr. Thani Al Zeyoudi and a high-level UAE delegation are in New Delhi to hold talks aimed at improving bilateral economic relations, including expanding the existing trade and investment relationship. India is participating in the forthcoming expo, with Modi preparing to give a three-minute video speech towards the opening ceremony of the expo.

Goyal expressed confidence that India’s multi-dimensional participation in Expo 2020 Dubai will help increase bilateral trade and investment in both directions.

On October 1, the day after the ceremonial opening of Expo 2020 Dubai, Goyal will formally inaugurate the India Pavilion at the world exposition.

The Indian pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai has been put up in order to showcase a resurgent India’s march to becoming a five trillion-dollar economy.

It will also look at exhibiting India’s exemplary fight towards Covid-19 as the world’s second-largest economy. It will also exhibit the country’s emergence as a global business hub presenting mammoth trade opportunities for the world to do business. The opening night (despite the seriously increasing chances of the third wave in India) would have a cultural extravaganza displaying India’s diverse cultural heritage too.
