Highmark Health Is Ranked Among America’s Best Employers By Forbes
One of America’s largest health insurers and a 14-hospital integrated delivery network, Highmark Health, was named to the Forbes list of America’s Best Employers for the second consecutive year.
Presented by Forbes and Statista Inc., the list of 500 large and 500 midsize employers was assessed through an independent survey that evaluated companies based on six key drivers: the atmosphere at work and potential for development, image, working conditions, salary, and workplace diversity.
As one of the Best Large Employers of 2023, Highmark Health employs more than 37,000 people.
Highmark Health is delighted that Forbes has once again recognized it as a top employer in the nation, said Larry Kleinman, executive vice president, and chief human resources officer. The award is a testament to our unwavering commitment to transforming healthcare and providing a world-class workplace for our team members who make this innovative work a reality.

According to Forbes, Statista surveyed 60,000 anonymous Americans working for businesses with at least 1,000 employees. They were asked, on a scale of zero to 10, whether they would recommend their company to others. They were also asked to nominate organizations other than their own and identify organizations they would not recommend.
Aside from Best Large Employer, Forbes has also ranked Highmark Health among the Best Employers for Women and Diversity. For four consecutive years, Allegheny Health Network, part of Highmark Health, has been recognized as one of America’s Best Employers by the State by Forbes.
As well as its headquarters in Pittsburgh, Highmark Health has corporate offices in Camp Hill, Wilkes-Barre, Wilmington, Del., Parkersburg, and Buffalo, N.Y.
