No Signal? No Problem! Elon Musk’s Starlink Powers LA Fire Relief Efforts
Elon Musk announced that SpaceX will provide free Starlink terminals to affected areas in Los Angeles starting tomorrow morning.
This announcement to bring relief in wildfire came via official X account of Elon Mush.
Starlink satellite internet system is known for providing high-speed internet in remote areas. During this hard time for California, LA, and Hollywood Hills because of wildfire, Starlink is playing an important role as a resource by which the world is connected to the areas that are in fire!
Elon Musk shared a video with his tweet, where a TV reporter was covering the fire, he highlighted how Starlink is enabling them to broadcast live from areas with no cell service.
Reporter stated, “The only reason you’re able to see us right now is because of Starlink. There’s absolutely no cell service at all in this whole area.”
The local communication infrastructure is shut down and not working because of fire now the Starlink terminals will help emergency responders, journalists, and residents stay connected.
