UAE’s Leadership in AI Adoption: BCG Study Highlights
A recent study by Boston Consulting Group (BCG) highlights that the UAE is leading the way in AI. This small Gulf country is adopting and working for the growth of artificial intelligence. UAE has the first AI minister in the nation to track and implement changes in the field of AI.
Recently we saw that many big companies of the technology world have signed MOUs with UAE to share knowledge and develop AI. The UAE is committed to establishing itself as an AI powerhouse in the world.
The research shows that AI awareness in UAE is notably high with 91% knowing about generative AI and 34% actively using these latest technologies.
This survey of BCG was conducted on 21,000 people across 21 countries to gauge awareness, usage, and sentiments toward AI and generative AI. It also explored how AI is perceived in the workplace.
67% of employees in the UAE are excited by the potential of AI to improve their work environments, seeing it as a tool for innovation and efficiency. Government initiatives such as the Falcon 2 AI model highlight the UAE’s commitment to being a leader in AI development.
Every change comes with challenges the AI adoption is also come with many challenges. While 37% of UAE consumers are excited about generative AI, 46% feel conflicted, and 17% are concerned about its implications.
