UAE Launches “UAE with You, Lebanon” Relief Campaign, Sends 40 Tonnes of Medical Aid
The UAE has launched a national relief campaign called “UAE with you, Lebanon” to support the Lebanese people during the current crisis. President Sheikh Mohamed directs this initiative. This new campaign aims to provide urgent humanitarian assistance to Lebanon. This new campaign news is confirmed by WAM on Saturday.
According to the official website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of UAE, to implement the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, “may God protect him”, the UAE launched a national relief campaign to support Lebanon.
On Friday the first plane carrying 40 tonnes of essential medical supplies landed in Beirut. The UAE collaborated with the World Health Organization (WHO) to send these supplies from Dubai’s Al Maktoum Airport. This is the first of several planned aid deliveries as part of the campaign.
The UAE has pledged $100 million in humanitarian aid to Lebanon. Her Excellency Reem bint Ibrahim Al Hashimy, Minister of State for International Cooperation, highlighted the UAE’s commitment to offering urgent support and continuing to assist the Lebanese people, especially the most vulnerable groups.
The UAE expressed concern over the escalating situation in Lebanon and called for international efforts to stop the conflict and protect civilians. The country also reaffirmed its support for Lebanon’s unity and territorial integrity.
