Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs Reportedly on Suicide Watch After Arrest
Popular rapper/producer, Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, is currently under suicide watch at the Metropolitan Detention Center (MDC) in Brooklyn. This comes after his arrest on severe offences among them being sex trafficking.
Combs was arrested on Monday, 16th of September at a hotel in Manhattan. He’s facing several serious accusations:
– Sex trafficking
– Racketeering
– Taking people for prostitution
The charges include that Combs organized and coerced people into participating in so-called “freak offs”, defined by the prosecutors as large, orchestrated sex performances.
Combs is now in a special part of the detention center where he will have more security than other prisoners. His lawyer Marc Agnifilo also supported this on Wednesday. The suicide watch is a security precaution, not because Combs has been wanting to take his own life.
The People magazine reports that this is shocking to Combs as his bid for bail has been rejected twice. The court is concerned with his psychological well-being, which is why he is closely monitored.

Suicide watch is a situation whereby individuals in charge maintain close observation of someone with the intention of suicide. It’s common in:

– Hospitals
– Mental health facilities
– Military bases
The U. S. Department of Justice describes it as ‘frequent observation’ of inmates who may be having suicidal thoughts.

– September 17: Combs remanded to MDC after taking a plea of not guilty
– During the week: They denied him bail twice
– Currently: This is a person who is under suicide watch at MDC.
It is unsettled, however, as the situation remains rather fluid. Unfortunately, it is not clear how long Combs will continue to be monitored in such a manner or what will happen to his case next.
As Combs waits for his trial, he is under this additional supervision and is in custody. It has been quite a scandal to many especially in the music industry and other fraternities given the status of Sean Combs and the gravity of the charges preferred against him.
