Ravindra Jadeja joins the 7000+ Intl Runs and joins the elite 4 record led by Kapil Dev
India’s star player and World No.1 All Rounder Ravindra Jadeja’s persistence and resilience at Lord’s. A robust knock of 72 from the player also made him cross the 7000 International Runs mark, putting him along the lines of Rishab Pant, MS Dhoni, Sourav Ganguly and Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi.
Jadeja’s consistency didn’t pay off for India as the team fell short of 22 runs and lost all the wickets in defending a passable score at the ‘Home of Cricket’. Jadeja also became the only Indian player after Vinoo Mankad to hit 50+ runs in both the innings at Lord’s in the last 93 Years, also ironically having more 50+ runs in the ground than Ben Stokes.
| Player | Runs (1st Innings) | Runs (2nd Innings) | Year |
