Krispy Kreme Makes Special Doughnuts for Barbie’s 65th Birthday
The popular doll Barbie is turning 65 years old! To celebrate this birthday of her, Krispy Kreme is creating four new types of doughnuts. These doughnuts look special and taste special, just like Barbie. An important person at Krispy Kreme, Dave Skena says they are happy to make these fun doughnuts. He thinks both Barbie fans and doughnut lovers will really like them.
The Four New Barbie Doughnuts
1. The Barbie Pink Doughnut
It’s as pink as Barbie! Just a regular glazed doughnut on the bottom, and they take this pink cream and just place it right on top of it. Then they sprinkle this shiny pink sugar all over. And the best part- it had edible Barbie sunglasses on it!
2. Malibu Dream Party Doughnut
This one looks like Barbie’s beach mansion in miniature. It is filled with cake batter cream inside. Outside, the doughnut is covered in light blue icing that looks just like the ocean. They even sprinkled graham cracker crumbs around the top to make it look like sand and a small piece in the shape that makes the doughnut resemble Barbie’s house.
3. Barbie Berries ‘n Kreme Doughnut
Krispy Kreme calls this doughnut as sweet as Barbie. It contains strawberry cream inside. The doughnut is glazed with white icing and purple and pink decorations. On top is a small Barbie heart.
4. Barbie Sweet 65th Doughnut
It’s less complex but no less singular. It is a regular glazed doughnut smothered in chocolate. Then they add sprinkles spelling “Barbie Sweet 65th” to commemorate Barbie’s birthday.
When and Where to Get Them
These doughnuts are now on sale at Krispy Kreme shops but not necessarily at each individual shop, so one may have to check. They can be purchased individually or in a box of six.
Meredith Norrie of Mattel, the maker of Barbie, says both Barbie and Krispy Kreme are designed to put smiles on people’s faces. She says, “We just know that fans of all ages are going to enjoy eating the doughnuts”.
