According to the sources, Rupert has been told to pay £1.8 million ($2.3 million) after losing a tax case in the U.K.
The problem started when the tax agency, H.M. Revenue and Customs and said Grint wrongly classified £4.5 million from movie earnings—like DVD sales, TV deals, and streaming rights—as a capital asset instead of income, which is taxed at a higher rate.
