Marking the foundation of Christian Belief, Easter is also the end of the 40 days Lent period that is a period for fasting, prayer and self reflection of one’s own actions. The last week leading up to Easter is also considered Holy with the Thursday before Good Friday is known as Maundy Thursday, also known when Jesus had his Last Supper while the Saturday is considered as Holy as a period of awaiting the resurrection and hope.

Easter is a family celebration time with hope and faith reflected among the loved ones. The day begins with attending church services on Saturday night or Sunday morning. Exchanging gifts, decorating Easter Eggs that are a reflection of rebirth and new life along with the presence of Easter Bunny for children and egg hunt adding to the joy.
