The Compassionate Vision of Her Highness
The key ingredient of this life-saving program is the immense commitments of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubaraka. Her Highness is still championing critical humanitarian and relief practices in the region and globally. Her inspirational leadership vision is the reason why the projects such as the Um Al Emarat is able to not only provide material alleviation to the underprivileged, but also to restore the basic dignity to those who are desperate.
A Legacy of Unwavering, Long-Term Support
The involvement of UAE in Gaza is based on the long-term, regular humanitarian policy and not a short-term emergency solution. To prove this huge support magnitude, the UAE aid has recently been credited to 46 percent of all humanitarian aid delivered to the sector. Up to now, the UAE has given aid to Gaza in the form of more than USD 3 billion in relief supplies exceeding 122,000 tons of essential supplies. This Ramadan, the emphasis is made on profound solidarity, as the most vulnerable families should be provided with essential food packages, essential medicine, and warm outfits.
Integrated Infrastructure and Life-Saving Care
The Um Al Emarat maritime mission is merged in the presence of the already existing, well-established logistical infrastructure of the UAE which entails giant food and medicine stores. Other than emergency assistance, the UAE offers life-saving infrastructure, which is long term. More than 54,000 cases have been already treated at the comprehensive 200-bed field hospital. At the same time, the current working of the floating hospital has enabled over 23,000 patients and this number has been further enhanced by the introduction of 100 new beds to enable support to the healthcare sector. Moreover, the most important UAE water pipeline project yields a whopping 2 million gallons of clean water every day to benefit hundreds of thousands of civilians.
