UAE Sends 288 Tonnes of Aid to Gaza in Ongoing Operation Chivalrous Knight 3

According to the UAE’s state news agency this week two shipments of aid from the UAE entered Gaza through the Rafah Crossing in Egypt. According to the data the UAE has sent 121 shipments till now by crossing this border. 

The state agency also confirmed that the coming aid is part of UAE’s relief efforts under “Operation Chivalrous Knight 3”. By sending these aid packages the aim of UAE is to help Palestinian people suffering in Gaza stripe, they are affected by the conflict in Gaza.  

According to the records, there are a total of 2.3 million people in Gaza and around 1.9 million people from them are facing a severe humanitarian crisis because of war and crisis. 

The support by the UAE includes setting up a field hospital in Rafah last year, a floating hospital in Al-Arish, Egypt, and a program to provide prosthetics for those who have lost limbs.

The latest aid shipments carried over 288 tonnes of supplies in 20 trucks. These included food, medical supplies, children’s nutrition, clothing, shelter materials, and health kits for women.

In total by the “Operation Chivalrous Knight 3” UAE has delivered 17,312 tonnes of aid to support the people in Gaza.

Operation Chivalrous Knight 3:

Operation Chivalrous Knight 3 was launched by UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan in October 2023 as a comprehensive humanitarian effort to support Palestinian communities impacted by the ongoing crisis in Gaza.
