“Not What She Claims”: Co-Star Disputes Blake Lively’s Nude Scene Allegations

A legal fight is making headlines in Hollywood. Actress Blake Lively has accused her It Ends With Us director and co-star, Justin Baldoni, of creating an unsafe and uncomfortable filming environment during a birthing scene. But her co-star, Adam Mondschein, is challenging her claims.

Lively said in court documents that while shooting the scene, she was “mostly nude” and surrounded by too many people, including those who were not needed on set. She felt exposed and said there were no basic protections like a closed set or an intimacy coordinator, which are normally present during sensitive scenes. She added that the actor who played the doctor during the birth scene was Baldoni’s close friend, which made her feel even more uncomfortable.

But Adam Mondschein, who played the doctor in that scene, has now responded. He said Lively never seemed uncomfortable during filming and never raised any issues at the time. He explained that she wasn’t nude — she wore a hospital gown, shorts, and a special prosthetic to make her look pregnant. Mondschein also said he was hired locally and was not just there as a favor to Baldoni.

He called Lively’s version of events surprising and said the set felt professional to him. He also said that if he’s asked to testify, he will tell the truth and defend his own reputation.

The issue has gone beyond just a disagreement. Lively filed a lawsuit against Baldoni in December 2024, accusing him of sexual harassment, emotional distress, and other serious claims. In return, Baldoni has filed a defamation lawsuit worth $400 million against both Blake Lively and her husband, actor Ryan Reynolds. He claims they tried to damage his reputation and take over the film’s storyline for their own benefit.

The case has caught a lot of public attention, with both sides strongly defending themselves. A documentary on the topic called Blake vs. Justin: It Didn’t End With Us is also set to release, adding even more buzz to the already heated situation.
