Breaking MLB Records: Juan Soto’s Historic 15-Year Deal with the Mets

Superstar outfielder Juan Soto has signed a 15-year contract with the New York Mets, according to multiple reports. This contract is worth of $765 million. This deal sets a new record for the largest contract in professional sports history. This also shows the market value of Soto.

The last biggest deal in the history of sports history was $700 million deal. It was signed by Shohei Ohtani last year. Ohtani still holds the record for highest annual value at $70 million per season.

The Mets outbid several top teams including the Yankees, Dodgers, Red Sox, Blue Jays, and Phillies, all of whom reportedly courted Soto in the offseason. His agent Scott Boras, called Soto the perfect fit for big-market championship-caliber teams.

Soto has consistently improved his teams winning a World Series in 2019 and nearly taking the Padres to another in 2022.

This MLB deal has enhanced the anticipation of baseball matches. Fans are eagerly waiting to see their players to play on the ground!
