Ahmed Gheit urges to build cooperation mechanism and strengthen bilateral relations with Greece

Ahmed Aboul Gheit, the Secretary-General of the Arab League urged to set up a cooperation mechanism to improve Arab-Greek bilateral relations, as he met with Greek Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias on Monday.

When he met with Greek Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias in Cairo, both sides examined international and regional issues, improving bilateral ties and also talked about the Arab League’s desire to likewise maintain intermittent political coordination with Greece in various international and regional forums. 

Last Wednesday, 78-year old, Egypt’s Ahmed Aboul Gheit was reappointed as secretary-general of the 22-part Arab League.

They also discussed ways to boost the flow of mutual investments between their two nations and will together surmount any obstacles that Greek and Egyptian businesses might face.
