Ukraine Makes Strides in Regaining Territory from Russian Forces

Ukraine has made substantial gains in regaining land along its eastern and southern fronts from Russian soldiers during a week marked by heavy fighting. President Volodymyr Zelenskiy applauded the developments and acknowledged the difficulties encountered during the counteroffensive, viewing them as evidence of Ukraine’s tenacity. The commander of Ukraine’s land forces, General Oleksandr Syrskyi, claimed successful troop gains near Bakhmut, including the practical annihilation of Russian forces.
