trump iran israel ceasefire deal guide
President Donald Trump managed to negotiate a ceasefire deal between Iran and Israel on Monday evening and this ended what he referred to as the 12-Day War that threatened to involve the whole of Middle East. The stunning announcement followed high-intensity diplomatic negotiations between Qatari intercession and direct correspondence among world heads.
This even shocked the senior advisors of the President as his ceasefire statement that came via an announcement at 6 PM Eastern Time showed his keen participation in solving the stalemate in the Middle East. The step of Trump was announced after his personal talks with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Iranian authorities, Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani providing key talks behind the scenes.
The vice president JD Vance, secretary of state Marco Rubio and special envoy Steve Witkoff had been over the past two months relentlessly trying to contact Iranian leadership through both direct and indirect means. They have worked only to reduce the nuclear program of Iran but have now started to work in full ceasefire negotiations.
The breakthrough is following US military attacks on three Iranian nuclear enrichment facilities on Saturday which are said to have provided suited terms upon which ceasefire discussions can be made. Such tactical bombardments showed American determination as they provided diplomatic channels of resolving the conflict.
The first retaliation of Iran came in form of what looked like a symbolic missile launch on a US military base in Qatar, warning them in advance to reduce the Casualty. In a Truth Social post, Trump recognized the restraint used by Iran and expressed his admiration to the Iranian approach, urging both states to seek peace and harmony in the region.
Actions around the ceasefire implantation were burdened with a complex 24-hour plan, which summed up difficulties in the relations between the sides. Trump said Iran will enter ceasefire steps at midnight Eastern Standard time, with Israel making its entry at around 12 hours afterwards and formal ending at 24 hours later.
But the Iranian state media was dismissing with a tweet that a ceasefire is a fabrication as the Iranian foreign minister Abbas Araghchi tweeted: “We are ending military operations only when Israel stops aggression by 4 AM of Tehran, otherwise it was fabrication.” In spite of these complications, the two parties agreed to respect the agreement finally. One of the waves of missiles was registered by Israeli Defense Forces in the period of transition, and four people died, twelve were injured, as Magen David Adom emergency services informed. The media in Iran affirmed the activation of ceasefire at approximately 12:19 AM Eastern Time and Trump announced, “THE CEASEFIRE IS NOW IN EFFECT. PLEASE DO NOT VIOLATE IT.”
