Telegram CEO Pavel Durov to leave 13.9 billion fortune to his 106 Children
Billionaire Founder and CEO of Telegram, Pavel Durov has announced that he will be leaving his entire fortune to his children, seems normal, but the sheer number of it has made it special. His entire estimated fortune was calculated as 13.9 billion and it will be shared between 106 children Durov fathered, which includes the six children he is legally tied with and the 100 children from his sperm donation.
Pavel Durov had a sit down interview with a French magazine Le Point where he shared that his fortune in billions will be shared equally among his children. Pavel Durov has six legal children from 3 different women and over 100 children from the years of his sperm donation. Over the past 15 years, Durov has been a sperm donor, which he estimates to lead to 100 children.
“I want to specify that I make no difference between my children: there are those who were conceived naturally and those who come from my sperm donations. They are all my children and will all have the same rights”, Durov told Le Point magazine.
His children from sperm donation is said to be spread across 12 countries and all of his fortune will be shared among them but the CEO said it will not be given immediately. “I recently drafted my will. I’ve decided that my children will not be allowed to inherit anything until thirty years from today,” Durov shared.
On being questioned about drafting a will at the age of 40, Durov said that his commitment to defending freedoms comes at the risk of a lot of enemies, some of them powerful nations.
