Meet Rithvik Choudary Bollipolli – The Indian Youngster at Wimbledon

All eyes are on the Wimbledon Tournament that has started off with all its glory and in the shadows of the curious Tennis fans is one Indian talent who is slowly building his career and name among the top seed players. 

Rithvik Choudary Bollipolli might not be a household name in India but it will soon be as the promising young talent has been slowly making a name for himself in the Tennis world. Rithvik Choudary Bollipolli is a 24 year old Tennis player hailing from Hyderabad. 

The lesser known player went pro in 2022 and has already won international tournaments like the recent doubles win at the Chile Open where he partnered with Colombia’s Nicolas Barrientos, defeating the top seeded Argentanian duo Maximo Gonzalez and Andres Molteni 6-3, 6-2.

Rithvik Choudary Bollipolli became the first Indian player to win an ATP tournament at a Latin Clay court and has become the youngest player in the country to get a spot in Top 70 in the ATP rankings. Rithvik Choudary switched to doubles after his injury days and has previously partnered with Arjun Kadhe. 

Now at Wimbledon, Rithvik is being watched by his parents who worked hard for him to achieve this at a young age. His mother, Lakshmi shares how witnessing his son playing at the courts were legends like Pete Sampras, Steffi Graf, Leander Paes and Mahesh Bhupati and felt proud of his achievement. 

Rithvik Choudary has the highest ranking in Gentlemen’s Doubles at 65.
