Dogs are an important part of security forces. Recently after seven years of dedicated service, K9 Stryker is officially retired from the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office. This dog has been serving from 2017. His faith sets an example of how dogs are useful in keeping society safe.
Stryker worked alongside his handler S/DFC Idol, and was highly trained in Narcotics Detection Criminal Apprehension, Tracking, and Article Search. He was deployed 64 times, leading to 48 K9 apprehensions, and conducted 150 drug searches, resulting in 116 drug-related arrests. His sharp instincts and fearless service made a real difference in fighting crime.
