Louis Tomlinson still not over his bitterness with Zayn Malik

Zayn Malik and Louis Tomlinson have a lot of “History.”

Tomlinson said on the “Zach Sang Show” on Wednesday that he and his former bandmate from One Direction haven’t made up since they broke up almost 7 years ago.

Tomlinson said, “You’d have to ask him” when asked if he was still friends with the “Pillowtalk” singer.

“I might be wrong, but I think I told you [last time] when you asked me a similar question that I don’t think I’m old enough to get over what’s been bothering me in that relationship,” the 30-year-old said.

“I don’t know if I’m old enough now, but I’m definitely closer to being done with all that.”

After Malik left One Direction in 2015, they got into a heated argument on Twitter.

Tomlinson says he has “tried to get in touch” with Malik, but it seems like they haven’t talked since their very public fight, even though that was his mother’s dying wish.

“Many times in the last couple of years, I’ve thought about him and hoped he was okay,” Louis said.

Even though they fight, Tomlinson hopes that they will be able to make up one day.

He said, “I think in time. I think we’ll just have to run into each other, since we don’t have each other’s phone numbers. I guess social media could be the way to go.”

Fans thought that Tomlinson was trying to make peace with Malik, who is 29, by liking some of his singing videos on Instagram over the past few months.

Malik has been very clear that he doesn’t like the music he made with One Direction. However, he has recently been posting covers of the group’s hit songs on his Instagram account.

When asked if he liked Malik’s online videos, Tomlinson praised his talent and said that he is “a different caliber of singer.”

“I didn’t just like it because I liked it. Tomlinson told host Zach Sang, “It was a nice feeling because he’s said things about the band in the past, and I understand some of what he was saying.”

“In those videos, it seemed to me that he was thinking. It showed that he was remembering those times. At the same time, he was, of course, showing off his great voice.”

It turns out that Tomlinson wasn’t the only member of One Direction who didn’t like the singer of “I Don’t Want to Live Forever.”

In June, Liam Payne made news when he said on an episode of Logan Paul’s “Impaulsive” podcast that he and Malik had “beef.”

“Before we get too far into this,” the “Strip That Down” singer said, “there are many reasons why I dislike Zayn, and there are many reasons why I’ll always be on his side.” He then talked about Malik’s “different upbringing.”

But when asked about the rumored drama in the band on the Australian show “The Project,” Tomlinson sang a different tune.

“I’m very proud, as I’m sure Liam is, too, of those days. It was amazing to do something like that at such a young age. Wonderful memories.”
