IDEX Abu Dhabi hosts 16th edition of IDEX from Feb 20 to 24

The 16th edition of IDEX 2023 is now taking place from February 20–24, 2023, at the Abu Dhabi National Centre under the patronage of the President of the UAE.

This edition, which marks the 30th anniversary of IDEX’s debut, is the biggest in the event’s history and is expected to draw greater worldwide participation from all continents.

At a press conference on Feb 10, the Higher Organising Committee of the two exhibitions revealed information on the 16th edition of IDEX 2023. Major General Staff Pilot Faris Khalaf Al Mazrouei, Chairman of the Higher Organizing Committee, Major General Dr Mubarak Saeed bin Gafan Al Jabri, Vice Chairman of the Supreme Committee, and His Excellency Humaid Matar Al Dhaheri, Managing Director and CEO of ADNEC Group, were all present during this.

According to His Excellency Faris Khalaf Al Mazrouei, a major general staff pilot and the head of the higher organising committee, this edition of IDEX and NAVDEX is particularly significant and is generating great interest because it is the largest in the history of the exhibition at all levels and marks the culmination of a 30-year success story. This accomplishment would not have been possible without our wise leadership’s insightful vision and constant support, as well as the high reputation and respect enjoyed by the UAE at the regional and international levels.

A monument to the strategic position held, the current edition of the two shows is seeing a record turnout from major worldwide firms focused on the defence industries sector, as well as delegations and specialists from all over the world. The two exhibitions provide a platform for decision-makers and specialists to learn about cutting-edge tools and technological advancements that aid in establishing and maintaining international peace.

The United Arab Emirates is known for routinely pulling off the seemingly impossible. As evidenced by the world’s tallest building, the Burj Khalifa, and prominent artificial islands like the Palm Jumeirah, this is a country where dreams come true.

One of the seven emirates of the United Arab Emirates, Dubai, started a physical transformation twenty years ago that saw entire districts sprout from the sea and the sand, becoming one of the really global destinations. The time has come for an even bigger digital transformation, one that will affect the entire UAE and will have repercussions on a worldwide scale.
