The Decider
Round 10 of the tournament will decide the final top two GMs as India’s Gukesh will be taking America’s Fabiano Caruana and while Magnus Carlsen will be playing India’s Arjun Erigaisi. Gukesh and Carlsen will be looking to gain full points to retain the top spots while Hikaru Nakumara is also in the chase, depending on the rest of the wins and loses.
Gukesh beat China’s Wei Yi who missed the bishop f7, which was easily capitalised and pounced further by the Indian. Carlsen on the other hand defeated Caruana, also on the track, with a blunder on the 48th move, a dull day for the American but gave momentum for the five time World Champion to proceed the charts.
