Check Out: Do You Have The Right Attitude Towards Weight Loss?

If you are looking to shed those extra kilos, there are certain changes you need to make in your diet and overall routine as the right attitude can make a huge difference.

Setbacks and struggles are normal. Remember to always keep an eye out on the attitude with which you begin the journey of self-improvement and fitness.

Highlighting the importance of a positive mindset, nutritionist Rujuta Diwekar has shared three attitude changes we must make for a successful weight loss and fitness journey.

Rujuta Diwekar – One Of World’s Most Followed Nutritionists

Diwekar is India’s leading sports science and nutrition expert and amongst the world’s most followed nutritionists. She is also a best-selling author.

Her books have sold more than 1 million copies in seven languages and continue to define the discourse on food and exercise across the country.

In the plethora of diet fads and fears, she emphasises on a blend of common sense, traditional food wisdom and modern nutritional science for a healthy body and mind.

Diwekar Shares Three Attitude Changes For Healthy Weight Loss

Recently taking to Instagram, Diwekar shared three attitude changes we must make, including not messing up the whole diet if one meal gets messed up.

Second, the nutritionist pointed out that one should stop abiding by the all-or-nothing rule for exercise. “The best workout is the one that gets done,” she added.

“Even if you are unable to do a full 60-minute exercise, it does not mean you don’t exercise at all. We think that 20 to 30 minutes of exercise is of no use.”

Experts Stress The Need For A Strong Mind

Additionally, Diwekar recommends never asking anyone else how you are looking physically as a negative response could make you feel demotivated.

“Remember, this is a journey and not a destination, so support yourself, be loving and forgiving on this journey to achieve good health,” she noted.

Agreeing with the aforementioned suggestions, Ruchika Jain, chief clinical nutritionist at Fortis Hospital, stressed the need for a strong mind.

Importance Of Following A Regular Eating Pattern

Fareesa Fatima, senior clinical nutritionist at Fernandez Hospital, recommends targeting gradual weight loss rather than aiming to lose a lot of weight in a short period.

Apart from this, the experts underscored the importance of following a regular eating pattern. They recommended to avoid skipping meals.

“Weight loss takes time, so be patient and stay committed to your goals. Consult a registered dietitian to help you achieve your weight loss goals in a … sustainable way,” Fatima concluded.
