Charles Leclerc dominates Practices at Monaco amid Rumours of him leaving Ferrari
Charles Leclerc has been under the pressure of rumours of him leaving Ferrari and his opinions of team principal Fred Vasseur while also delivering the fastest laps in his home ahead of the Monaco Grand Prix race day.
With Ferrari’s 2025 Championship plans not going well nor does the performance of Leclerc or Hamilton, many have suspected whether the Monaco racer will be continuing his contract with Ferrari. While he has already given a statement cementing his faith and trust in Ferrari and on Vasseur, he has also made significant progress in his home.
The Monaco GP practices were all done and to no one’s surprise Charles Leclerc dominated the three sessions and even recorded the fastest laps in the free practices. The first practice lap, Charles took the top spot while Max Verstappena and Lando Norris followed.
The second lap had two Ferrari seats in the top 3 with Leclerc leading again and Lewis Hamilton at 3 while McLaren’s Oscar Piastri getting No.2. The FP3 went tragically for Hamilton who crashed at the Massenet while Leclerc again finished first and the trio from FP1 taking the positions.
The Monegasque driver outdrives his rivals with his soft tires in stunning laps, only 0.280 seconds faster than Max Verstappen in Medium. While Verstappen may have failed to dethrone Charles at Monaco, Hamilton had to settle for fifth position and Oscar taking fourth with 21 laps.
Currently Charles in Ferrari has 25 laps ahead of the race day while Max in Red Bull and Lando in McLaren have 23 each. Fans only have the electrifying qualifying session ahead for the drivers who have the chip on their shoulders to push to their limits and tackle the risky Monaco track.
