Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy said that membership of Ukraine in NATO is “achievable” goal but this will require persistent effort to persuade allies. While talking with Ukrainian diplomats on Sunday President Zelenskiy said that joining this alliance is a political decision.
Ukraine is demanding the membership in NATO from a longer time. According to Ukrainian officials it is necessary for Ukraine to protect its sovereignty and face aggression from Russia.
Zelenskiy stated “Alliance for Ukraine is achievable, but it is achievable only if we fight for this decision at all necessary levels”. During his talk he also highlighted that how Ukraine’s membership in NATO would leads to a global stability and a peaceful region.
Moscow claims that expansion of NATO was a major reason for its 2022 invasion of Ukraine.
