US President Biden openly acknowledges his seventh grandchild Navy
For the first time, Joe Biden has publicly acknowledged his seventh grandchild Navy, a four-year-old girl fathered by his son Hunter with Lunden Roberts from Arkansas in 2018.
Calling it a “family matter”, the US president said in a statement: “Our son Hunter and Navy’s mother, Lunden, are working together to foster a relationship that is in the best interests of their daughter,” reported by People magazine.
Navy’s connection with Hunter Biden was confirmed by DNA testing after her mother sued for family support. Hunter’s 2021 memoir carries information on his encounter with Roberts. He describes that period as a time when he was deep in addiction to alcohol and drugs.
“I had no recollection of our encounter,” Hunter mentioned, highlighting the “little connection” he had with anyone at the time. The two parties recently put an end to outstanding child support issues.
President Biden has been subject to growing criticism from political opponents and experts for failing to acknowledge Navy. Besides her, Hunter has four other children, including a son, Beau. He was named after the oldest son of the president and his first wife Neilia Hunter Biden.
The president’s grandchildren have played a significant role in his political life, often accompanying him or First Lady Jill Biden on trips and visiting the White House at regular intervals. In fact, Biden has also credited his grandchildren with convincing him to challenge Donald Trump for the top post in 2020.
