UAE’s Role in Global Humanitarian Efforts on World Humanitarian Day

Every year on August 19 the world celebrates World Humanitarian Day. This day is aimed to honor the brave men and women who dedicate their lives to helping others, to saving humanity in this globe. These humanitarian workers came forward as a beacon of hope in between conflicts or disasters, risking their safety to protect and save the lives of civilians and innocent people. This day is a reminder to not only celebrate courage but also to raise awareness about the need to support and protect those who are on the front lines, helping those in need. The UAE’s commitment to helping others beyond borders, races, and religions, reflects the strong belief in human brotherhood.  Whether extending a helping hand during the severe famine and food crises in Sudan, the notable moment was when  UN praised the million dollors of humanitarian aid to Sudan by UAE, providing critical aid during floods in Brazil, flood in Libya, and Derna, or responding quickly to the earthquake in Turkey-Syria, the UAE has proven its commitment to humanitarian causes.
