The UAE and US: Forging the Future of Artificial Intelligence and Advanced Tech

The UAE is grabbing headlines with its massive investment and trials for AI, they are working hard to be the ‘AI capital of the world.’ To run for this aim smoothly and without any delay, UAE selected the first AI minister, Omar AI Olama.

The country is quickly adopting and innovating in AI, aiming to become a global hub for this advanced technology. UAE’s commitment to AI is evident in its early adoption and ongoing investment in innovative projects. To reach the height of technology UAE is promoting partnerships with different nations without following any particular agenda. Today let’s talk about the UAE and USA collaboration for the future of AI.

Strategic UAE-US Partnership

The collaboration between the UAE and the US in AI and advanced technologies is important because both of these partners have the potential to drive global innovation and develop AI. Both countries are committed to AI growth. Now both countries are working together to boost AI technology, to make AI perfect ethically and effectively. They are signing MOUs,  building agreements, FDIs are playing key roles, and brainstorming for a better future for AI.

Here are some key projects in AI Development:

  1. Microsoft’s Investment in G42
  2. MGX: A UAE National Champion

Investment of Microsoft in G42:

In April 2024, Microsoft announced a $1.5 billion investment in UAE-based artificial intelligence firm G42. After this G42 will use Microsoft cloud services to run its AI applications. This is one of the biggest investments of Microsoft. By this UAE got an opportunity to enhance UAE’s position as a global AI hub. After this partnership, Brad Smith, Vice Chair and President of Microsoft, joined the G42 Board of Directors.

During an interview, Brad Smith, Microsoft Vice Chair and President said “Our two companies will work together not only in the UAE, but to bring AI and digital infrastructure and services to underserved nations, We will combine world-class technology with world-leading standards for safe, trusted, and responsible AI, in close coordination with the governments of both the UAE and the United States.”

MGX: A UAE National Champion

In March 2024, the UAE government launched MGX, a technology investment company dedicated to accelerating the development and adoption of AI and advanced technologies.

H.H. Sheikh Tahnoun bin Zayed Al Nahyan emphasized that MGX aims to shape a future of prosperity, sustainability, and interconnectivity. MGX will collaborate with world-class leaders of AI like Mubadala and G42.

Though the UAE is collaborating with the US to boost AI in the region but it will impact global AI development and technologies. They will work and collaborate with other nations for knowledge sharing and supporting the growth of AI and Technologies in the world. The UAE has formed partnerships with leading US tech companies like Nvidia, AMD, Microsoft, OpenAI, and IBM. These collaborations are driving AI innovation and helping to advance the field significantly.

This partnership is a new hope for an advance future of global AI chain and technologies growth.
