The Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy and Remote Work Applications Office has published a comprehensive guide on the use of generative AI applications in response to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum’s orders to step up research and efforts to encourage the adoption of cutting-edge technologies in governmental work models.
The “Generative AI” guidebook is a useful resource for government agencies, allowing them to better apply AI technology across a range of fields and capitalize on its benefits.
In his remarks on the launch, Omar bin Sultan Al Olama, Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy, and Remote Work Applications, emphasized the UAE government’s dedication to maintaining its position as a global leader in the technology and artificial intelligence sectors by creating proactive strategies, working on legislative and regulatory frameworks to prevent improper use of technology and address its challenges, and staying up to date with technological developments.

Al Olama continued by saying that the release of the “Generative AI” handbook is a proactive action that represents the objectives and vision of the UAE government with regard to influencing and inspiring the digital world. Applications of generative AI must be used in order to take advantage of significant potential in the future.
One such application is ChatGPT, which in a short period of time has racked up over 100 million users. Its application in a number of sectors, including education, healthcare, and welfare, has great promise for enhancing growth and productivity as well as generating a seismic shift in a number of important sectors.
The development of novel AI solutions, especially generative AI, is consistently given top attention in the UAE. This technology is highly prized since it can create new opportunities across a range of sectors.
The promise of generative AI resides in the use of algorithms designed particularly to generate original content, such pictures, videos, music, or texts, that imitates human creativity.
In order to create original material that is comparable to the original, it is accomplished by teaching computers to spot significant trends and traits in data. Unlike non-generative AI, which only sorts or identify already-existing data, generative AI creates something new and original.
The manual provides a thorough explanation of generative AI, examines the challenges and opportunities posed by various digital technologies, suggests the best management techniques for these technologies, emphasizes the importance of data privacy in the current digital environment, elaborates on the fundamentals and methodologies for utilizing generative AI technologies, and includes texts that provide the most accurate information.
