UAE’s ATRC to Launch Three New High-Profile Tech Ventures by 2024

The United Arab Emirates is poised to set a new benchmark in innovation as Abu Dhabi’s Advance Technology Research Council (ATRC) is ready to launch three new high-profile tech ventures by the end of 2024. This step is aimed at bolstering research and development.

According to the post shared by the Advance Technology Research Council (ATRC) on LinkedIn His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan reviews the plan to launch three new ventures that will support national priorities and enhance research globally.

A media statement was also released by the Abu Dhabi Media Office regarding the board meeting which was chaired by HH Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology – H.E. Dr Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, Chairman of the President’s Office for Strategic Affairs within the Presidential Court- H.E. Dr. Ahmed Mubarak Al Mazrouei, Minister of Investment- H.E. Mohamed Hassan Alsuwaidi, Chairman of the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi H.E. Mansoor Ibrahim Al Mansoori along with Secretary General of the ATRC were also present at the meeting.

VentureOne is preparing to launch three new projects: one to improve data security with quantum technology, another to advance smart self-driving vehicles, and a third to agriculture with robots. These projects are in line with Abu Dhabi’s economic goals and will help transform cutting-edge research into real products and services in the UAE.

This council also reviewed the progress of ATRC towards the R&D ecosystem, the work of the council’s applied research pillar Technology Innovation Institute (TII), and the work of the council’s program management arm ASPIRE.

Rapidly UAE is setting itself as a global leader in technology and innovation. The new ventures will revolutionize data security, smart mobility, and AgriTech. Currently, UAE placed at 37 in the UN Frontier Technologies Index. It was prepared after analyzing 166 countries. After taking innovatory steps UAE is becoming a most preferred destination for technological innovation with Advanced Technology Research Council.

ATRC is turning research into business ventures:

ATRC was established in 2020 and the aim was clear ‘ to turn its research into new businesses.’  To do it in an organized way they created VentureOne which is now their commercial arm. After that VentureOne created an AI company AI71.

In the month of February ATRC announced a plan to launch a series of three new technology ventures.
