Tragic Nightclub Fire in North Macedonia: 59 Dead, Over 100 Injured

Today in the early morning a fire broke out at the Pulse nightclub in Kočani, North Macedonia. This led to the killing of at least 59 people and injuring more than 100 in the nightclub.

The fire started around 3:00 a.m. during a concert when pyrotechnics sparked the blaze, authorities said. Many people were trapped inside as flames quickly spread.

Emergency teams worked through the night to rescue and transport the injured to hospitals across the country. Officials reported that several victims suffered severe burns.

North Macedonia’s Interior Minister Panche Toshkovski confirmed the tragedy and said that one person has been arrested while others, including event organizers, are being questioned. Investigations are ongoing.

Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski called it a “difficult and very sad day for Macedonia.”

The government is rapidly handling the crisis, and supporting the families of the victims. This incident is one of the deadliest nightclub fires in recent years.
