If you love adventure and discovering hidden treasures, there are exciting places across the U.S. where you can hunt for fossils, gems, and even shark teeth.

In Mantua, New Jersey, the Jean and Ric Edelman Fossil Park & Museum opens on March 29. Visitors can search for 66-million-year-old fossils. Tickets cost $29 for adults and $24 for kids. The museum offers hands-on activities, virtual reality adventures, and even a dinosaur-themed playground. Visitors can dig in the real fossil quarry and take home a fossil they find.

For those interested in diamonds, Crater of Diamonds State Park in Murfreesboro, Arkansas, is a must-visit. Over 35,000 diamonds have been found there. In fact, a father and son once found a 2-carat diamond during their trip. Visitors can search the 37-acre field for diamonds. Entry costs $15 for adults and $7 for children.

If you love crystals, visit Coleman Mining in Jessieville, Arkansas. You can search for sparkling crystals or ride a zipline for a bird’s-eye view. Adults pay $25, seniors $20, and kids $5.

You can try hunting experience for shark teeth along the East Coast beaches in Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, and South Carolina. These beaches were once underwater, making them perfect for finding fossilized shark teeth. Venice, Florida, is known as the “shark tooth capital of the world.”

For the best chance, search during low tide or after a storm. Bring a small shovel to dig in the wet sand where the waves crash.

These places offer a fun way to explore history and nature with family and friends.
