Three popular K-drama couples who ended up dating each other

Just like K-pop, South Korean dramas have also started getting more and more popular across the globe. K-dramas revolve around a number of genres, including the heart-warming and swoon-worthy romantic love stories.

Most of the time, the chemistry between the lead characters is so good that the viewers wish they were together in real life as well. And at times, those innocent wishes come alive and the actors end up dating each other.

It’s always a big deal for fans when a reel-life couple starts a new chapter together in their real lives. Over time, some couples even end up marrying each other, but others separate. Read on for three popular on-screen couples who made headlines becoming a real-life thing.

Lim Ji Yeon and Lee Do Hyun

The Glory stars Lim Ji Yeon and Lee Do Hyun made headlines worldwide on April 1 by announcing they were in a relationship. The two share a five-year gap and got close while filming and attending group dinners with the cast.

Lee Sung Kyung and Nam Joo Hyuk

Popular teen K-drama ‘Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo’ stars Lee Sung Kyung and Nam Joo Hyuk dated in real life as well. The two model-turned-actors have known each other since the start of their professional careers and announced their relationship on April 24, 2017.

But a handful of months later, their then-respective agency YG Entertainment on August 18 revealed the couple had allegedly separated, without specifying the exact reasons.

Son Ye Jin and Hyun Bin

Although Son Ye Jin and Hyun Bin met during the shooting of the 2018 action-thriller The Negotiation, the two fell in love on the sets of the massively popular 2019 rom-com series Crash Landing on You. Both took their relationship a further step last year by entering into a legal marriage and are now parents to a baby boy. Nevertheless, did you know that Son Ye Jin had even made a cameo in Hyun Bin’s hit 2010 show Secret Garden?
